About WHC
West Homeschool Co-op is a Christian-based ministry. All classes will begin with a foundation that assumes a biblical worldview. We do all that we do to glorify Christ and shine His love to our community! While our teachers and leaders share our Christian faith, the Co-op welcomes all families, regardless of their beliefs, to attend and enjoy the opportunities we have to offer.
Our Mission:
Our mission is to provide a Christ-Centered learning environment that creates opportunities, community and support for homeschool families in the Black Hills.
Q. What is an elective style co-op?
A. This is in addition to your homeschool. Supplemental. Not meant to be exhaustive. Rather fun, engaging and maybe even messy!
-
Our co-op community is built as parents commit to teaching a class, assisting in a class and clean-up at the end of our school day.
The ideal structure is for all moms to teach/assist so that we have a variety of classes available for kids to choose from.
-
We recognize that all moms are not always going to be in an ideal season for such a commitment. There are plenty of opportunities to help support the Co-op aside from teaching (classroom assistants, nursery providers, recess watch, subbing, etc).
